NATURE AT INTERLAKE

Yes, we have several fields of Trillium. We are in the process of identifying them, as there are several varieties. One of the varieties is classified as rare in this State, but we must wait for them to bloom to confirm the ID. There are certainly other mysteries here, so please come with your curiosity and field guides.

Please organize birdwatching and other nature-oriented groups and uses. Our resources need to be appreciated. We'll advertise you here.

One of our supporters recommended that we sponsor a photography contest and publish the work, here. If you have good digital images of wildlife on our place that you want to show the world, let us know.

It probably will be good for us to document all the wonderful birds, bees, critters and trees on our property, including the mythical salmon, for our future negotiations. The more of this we can document, the greater the value our property has and the more leverage we will have in keeping it or using it in another way. Please do what you can and contact our staff about what you find. Are you a biologist or nature-oriented professional? We really need to know about you; please come to a monthly meeting.
