WORK PARTIES

When:

The 4th Saturday of every month, from 0900 until we become tired of each other; see the Calendar for dates.

Where:

    At the range.

What to bring & to expect:

On good days, Chris will fix breakfast and Carnel will fix lunch. Both are predictably GREAT. On other days we're forced to fend for ourselves. We always have both outdoor work and indoor work, so whatever your skills are, you are desperately needed. Please dress for the weather and bring whatever tools you can contribute for the day or use, yourself. If you have a truck, please drive it to the range; we often need materials and supplies too large or heavy to bring in a small vehicle. Come join us to play outside with sharp, big tools and water.

Don't know how to use tools or build stuff? Attend the work parties and we'll teach you. Want to buy or sell tools or impress others with your tool vocabulary? Come and 'wow' us. Have nothing else to do on Saturday morning? We're here to help.

Most importantly; COME TO THE WORK PARTIES AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE!!!  We are a completely volunteer group, so if we don't do it ourselves, it won't be done. This also means; if YOU don't help, it won't be done. We meet and work on the range regardless of the weather, which is normally good. If you see parts of the range you'd like to see improved, or changed, this means YOU and other members you know haven't been helping enough. Please attend the work parties and participate!

If you have questions about a particular project, about a particular date, or if you want to 'adopt' a project or do something special, please call us. We welcome your involvement and ideas; especially when you're willing to do more than talk.

REGULAR MEETINGS

When:

The 1st Wednesday of every month, from 1930 hrs until we're finished ( usually about 2 hours ). Those applying for membership should arrive by 1900 hrs, latest. If you are attending a P.I.C. class prior to the General Meeting, please arrive by 1700 hrs, latest, by prior arrangement only. See the Calendar for dates.

Where:

    At the range.

What to bring & to expect:

Applicants for membership (application form here) should arrive by 1900 hrs. for an excellent range safety and use video, a tour of the range, time to fill out paperwork and speak with others. Bring your checkbook or cash; we don't accept credit cards on-site. You may pay via Paypal with a card; see our 'contact' page for a link. The membership cost is competitive, and varies depending on the month when you join. The General Membership meeting starts at 1930 hrs and is conducted according to the requirements of our Bylaws and Roberts Rules of Order. We read and hear reports about last months work and activities, decide on next months calendar and new issues. Normally we don't have more than 15 members or so in attendance. A good way to be noticed, in a positive way, is to bring food, or actually offer to help with some project. Please offer to participate gently, since it happens rarely and you may shock those loyal volunteers present, enough that they fall down. Even if that doesn't happen, you might learn something about how this kind of group operates. Feel like complaining that you don't know what's going on and no-one talks to you? Come to a meeting; that's what they're for!

Have a suggestion, a question or want to see something else here? Please email!
